  • Copy/ Work Room: Help with photocopies and work room support for teachers. Ongoing. Estimated 1-3 hours per week.
  • Library: Help in the library. Ongoing.
  • On-Call Volunteer: On-call list to be notified when volunteer opportunities arise throughout the year.
  • Fine Arts: Help with Art and Music programs as needed.
  • New Family Liaison: Welcome new families to Anasazi, and answer any questions. Ongoing.
  • Family Fun Nights: Coordinate two family evening events, takes place during September and February.
  • Health Screening: Assist the school nurse during health screening day. Exact hours will be determined. No medical experience is needed. Lunch provided by PTO.  usually takes place on the first week of September.
  • Trekkers: Distribute cards and rewards during Trekkers running program and lunch recess. Fall.
  • Yearbook: Coordinate year book information gathering. Take pictures/ help gather pictures at events and from teachers. Ongoing.
  • Carnival: Volunteer on the say of Fall Carnival. Usually takes place in an evening on the second half of October.
  • Book Fair: Help with setup/ tear-down, student checkout (cashier), assist students with finding books. Fall book fair takes place during at the end of September. Used book fair date TBD.
  • Holiday Shoppe: Help with setup/ tear-down, checkout and assist students with shopping. Usually takes place during first week of December.
  • Fun-Run: Help with coordinating and helping students during the event. Usually takes place during first week of February.
  • On-Line Auction: Work with local / national companies and solicit for their donations. Ongoing. Auction is scheduled towards the end of March usually.
  • Membership Drive– Create Membership form, track forms returned, work with Treasurer to deposit Membership Funds. Coordinate Membership Drive contest with winners announced prior to the Fall Carnival (August – October).
  • Manage Directory– Work with PTO Directory App programmer to update information at the start of the school year. Add New PTO Members as they join our PTO during the school year.
  • Birthday Book Club– Work with Membership to track members of BBC and work with librarian to set up BBC celebration.
  • Membership Art Contest– Coordinate contest for artwork to be printed on the PTO Membership T-shirts. This includes: Send flyer home in Friday folder to promote Art contest, collect all submissions and work with Art Teacher to determine finalists, set up voting during one lunch period, work with spirit wear company to print winning artwork on the T shirt and order membership t-shirts .
  • Spirit wear– Create and order Anasazi Spirit Wear with selected spirit wear company, manage inventory, market and coordinate sales of spirit wear at select events throughout the year (i.e. Back to School Event, Carnival).
  • Secretary– Take minutes at all PTO meetings and provide them to website coordinator for posting of minutes. Keep PTO calendar current.
  • Social Media– Update Facebook and other social media outlets on a regular basis.
  • Email communications– Send emails on behalf of PTO.
  • Website Content– Keep website current with dates, forms, events, etc.
  • Copy Room Coordinator– Coordinate all copy room volunteers and set up weekly schedule to ensure all shifts are covered.
  • Treasurer– Manage all PTO funds, develop budget, attend all PTO meetings, file taxes.
  • Fall Carnival Coordinator– Plan the fall carnival. Event is usually in October.
  • Art Walk/Raffle Baskets– Work with room parent coordinator to organize raffle for classroom baskets. Assist art teacher with execution of the art walk.
  • Family Fun nights– Plan and promote family fun night once or twice during the year.
  • Event Volunteers– Manage schedule and coordinate volunteers for various school events such as carnival and art walk.
  • Fun Run– Work with Administration and fun run team to plan and execute fun run event.
  • Online Auction– Solicit goods and services from businesses. Promote and run online auction. Typically the Auction is held in the Spring.
  • Back to School Packs– Solicit quotes from vendors and manage all orders for school supplies. Bulletin Board-Use your creativity to display PTO and school events on the PTO Bulletin board located outside of the school office. Needs to be updated monthly.
  • Book fairs– Coordinate at least one book fair during the year. Typically the Scholastic book fair in the fall and used book fair in the spring.
  • Inreach/Outreach– Work with our Nurse, student council, community organizations to provide assistance to our Anasazi families or community members when identified.
  • Trekkers– Coordinate prizes, Trekkers cards, and volunteers for the running program held at lunch recess.
  • Community Sponsors– Reach out to local businesses prior to school starting to solicit sponsorship of our PTO and events.
  • Hospitality– Coordinate, purchase and set up of food, beverage and décor for various events throughout the year.
  • Fifth Grade Recognition Program– Work with administration and fifth grade teachers to assist where needed for the fifth grade recognition event. Usually takes place end of May.
  • Health Office support– Provide support for Nurse Renee and coordinate volunteers for health screening and other needs throughout the year.
  • Teacher’s Birthdays– Write a note and put a pre purchased gift card in staff’s mailbox for their birthday. Can be done on a weekly basis.
  • Shoppers Reward– Research opportunities to obtain money for the PTO from programs like Box Tops, Fry’s rewards, Amazon smile. Promote and manage the programs.
  • Room Parent Coordinator: Host a meeting at the beginning of the school year to train identified room parents. Communicate with and assist those parents throughout the school year.
  • Yearbook: Establish a team of photographers to capture photos at key events throughout the year. Work with yearbook company to create layout for yearbook. Promote and sell the yearbook.
  • Halloween Buy Back Program: Research and coordinate a campus wide candy buy back program after Halloween.
